Teriyaki Marinade

My mom got this recipe a couple of years ago from our friend, Mrs. Gullickson. She used it to make chicken tenders that were fabulous and not dried out at all. My dad usually is not a fan of chicken because it always gets dried out, but he likes it when we use this marinade.

Teriyaki Marinade

  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp meat tenderizer (see pic below)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

Combine all ingredients. Pour over raw meat of your choice. Marinade anywhere from 15 min – all day.

We’ve used this marinade for pork chops, chicken, and steaks.

I think the meat tenderizer is key to juicy, tender meat.
